Kevin Owens Returns At WWE Elimination Chamber

Kevin Owens

The Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn story already stretches back decades, and now it seems it’s about to gain another chapter.

At Elimination Chamber, Sami Zayn turned in one of the most valiant displays to take place inside a WWE ring in the modern era. Although he was eventually defeated by Roman Reigns, the final scorecard tells only a fraction of the story.

Two referees were taken out, there were steel chairs and run-ins galore. Zayn even had the match won but there was no official to make the count.

The end of the match came with Jey Uso in the ring standing between a chair-wielding Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. In a callback to the Royal Rumble, Reigns handed Jey the chair to attack Zayn but he couldn’t do it. As Reigns began to rough up Jey, Zayn roused himself and went to land a huge Spear but only managed to take out Uso.

In the commotion Reigns laid into his challenger with the chair and hit another Spear to grab the win.

With Zayn starring down the barrel of more punishment Kevin Owens made his return to a monster ovation. KO hit Stunners on Reigns and Paul Heyman while driving Jimmy Uso through the announce table.

Owens then left the way clear for Zayn to hit one more Helluva Kick as he made his way back up the ramp.

Kevin Owens Back For Revenge

Kevin Owens hasn’t appeared on WWE television since beating left beaten and broken and the 2023 Royal Rumble. At the event, Owens challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Despite heading into the match all guns blazing, Owens was methodically broken down by Reigns, however, what came after the final bell was a bigger story.

Owens was attacked by The Bloodline and handcuffed to the ring ropes. With the beatdown well underway, Sami Zayn who had been an awkward bystander stopped Reigns from hitting KO with a chair. After being asked to complete the task by Reigns, Zayn instead hammered the Tribal Chief. This act of defiance paved the way for Owens and Zayn to get back on the same page once again.
