After being referenced by Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite, Kevin Owens seemingly responded on social media.
On the March 16th episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho introduced his new Jericho Appreciation Society, which consists of himself, Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia, and 2Point0. When speaking about why 2point0 should appreciate him, he dropped a reference to his “former best friend Kevin” in reference to his time working with Kevin Owens in WWE.
“Why do they appreciate me? A year ago, I got a call from my former best friend Kevin, who said: ‘hey, I need some help for some buddies of mine who just got fired [by WWE]. Can you please put them on Talk is Jericho so they can get a job?’ So I brought these two men into my house, even though I’d never met them before. At the end of that podcast, I realized these guys have passion and desire. AEW hired them. That’s why they appreciate me.”
Jericho also renamed the team, revealing that Matt Lee will now be known as “Daddy Magic” Matt Minard and Jeff Parker will be known as “Cool Hand Ang” Angelo Parker. He branded their previous names, a “a stupid idea from bad creative.”
The group, who worked under the name EverRise in WWE, are from Quebec and have crossed paths with Kevin Owens during their time working on the independent wrestling scene prior to being signed to WWE.
The morning after the segment aired, Kevin Owens took to social media with a simple message, seemingly in response to being mentioned on Dynamite.
“I’m a good friend.”
I’m a good friend.

Back in 2016, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho formed a tag team that saw the two become best friends. However, their team would see its demise at the infamous Festival of Friendship in February of 2017, when then Universal Champion Owens put Jericho’s own name on his List of Jericho and attacked him. Owens went on to lose his Universal Championship to Goldberg after interference from Jericho, and in retribution, Owens won the United States Championship from Jericho at WrestleMania 33.
