Kevin Owens’ strange post after John Cena’s promo sparked discussions.
John Cena and CM Punk met again on the recent SmackDown, a week ahead of their Night of Champions clash for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Things heated up in the encounter, as the champion delivered his own pipebomb promo against the challenger. This got everybody talking, including Kevin Owens.
During the promo, Cena questioned Punk’s morals for competing in Saudi Arabia despite previously criticizing the company’s partnership with them. John also called his rival “Mr. TKO” and the “biggest bullshi**er” of all time, before mentioning former WWE Superstars like Matt Cardona (Zach Ryder), Claudio Castagnoli (Cesaro), and Nic Nemeth (Zolph Ziggler).
Following the segment, Kevin Owens seemingly expressed his amusement at the promo by taking to X/Twitter and posting a screenshot of a photograph of him wearing a John Cena shirt with the word “RESPECT” from the merchandise notably centered.

John Cena and Kevin Owens had a memorable feud in 2015, which stemmed from the former’s weekly United States Championship Open Challenge, wherein the ex-NXT Champion interrupted one of them before attacking the champion.
Kevin Owens Won’t Be Part Of John Cena’s Farewell Tour
Despite Kevin Owens being one of the most notable and vicious rivals John Cena had in his career, their feud is unlikely to happen again during Cena’s Farewell Tour.
On April 4, Kevin Owens announced that he suffered a neck injury that would require surgery. Not only did he miss his WrestleMania 41 match against Randy Orton, but he is also expected to be out of action indefinitely.
In an interview with le10sport earlier this month, The Prizefighter revealed that he hadn’t had surgery yet, and it was a slow process. He stated they were still assessing how things progress naturally and see how much “it can be slightly improved without surgery.”
