Nearing one decade signed to WWE, Kevin Owens has wrestled just about everyone there is, from Seth Rollins and Chris Jericho to Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. According to Owens himself, though, there has been no tougher challenge for him than facing Bobby Lashley.
First colliding on the April 16, 2018 Monday Night Raw as part of a ten-man tag team match, Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley have faced off a total of 45 times in WWE history. They haven’t collided on WWE programming since the red brand’s January 3, 2022 broadcast; there, Lashley earned a WWE Championship match by besting Owens, Big E, and Seth Rollins.
“This Is Gonna Be Rough” – Kevin Owens On Facing Bobby Lashley
Speaking in a new interview with The Happy Hour, Kevin Owens discussed how tough it is facing ‘The All Mighty’ Lashley, noting how it’s as if he’s made out of rocks:
“There’s nothing about Bobby Lashley that doesn’t hurt, even when you hit him he’s just made out of rocks so you hurt your arm hitting him. I see my name against him for a match, and I’m like, ‘Oh, this is gonna be rough’.”
Bobby Lashley is next scheduled to compete at Crown Jewel on November 5, facing Brock Lesnar for only the second time. Their first collision came at the 2022 Royal Rumble premium live event, where Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman cost Lesnar the WWE Championship.
As for Kevin Owens, it’s unknown what his direction is at the moment. WrestleVotes explained recently in an interview with GiveMeSport’s Louis Dangoor that Owens was once planned to get involved with Sami Zayn and The Bloodline. Due to the success Zayn is having right now, however, those plans have reportedly been pushed back.
He hasn’t wrestled a televised match since September 30, teaming with Chad Gable and Drew McIntyre to defeat Austin Theory and Alpha Academy.
