Kevin Owens Reveals Hilarious Reason Behind Unique New Merchandise

It’s fair to say that WWE and pandas haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, but Kevin Owens is on a one man mission to reunite the two sides once more.

WWE Superstars having new merchandise is nothing new. Even WWE Superstars having slightly unusual designs on said merchandise is nothing new. But even by those standards, Kevin Owens’ new t-shirt design featuring a panda has raised some eyebrows.

Owens’ on-screen character, while being unpredictable, has never really shown an affinity for the animals, so fans began to wonder where the idea came from.

Posting on social media, Owens explained the very simple reason behind the design, “Pandas rule.” Ever the salesman, the former World Champion confirmed the shirts were available in youth sizes, before adding, “Make your children like me by buying them this shirt.”

Some long-time fans were also quick to point out that this isn’t the first time that Kevin Owens has pledged his allegiance to the pandas of the world. Prior to joining WWE, while known as Kevin Steen, the star used a panda at the centre of one of his t-shirt designs.

Kevin Owens has been away from WWE television in recent weeks, last wrestling on Raw on June 13th. Since being defeated by Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38, Owens has been wrapped up in a feud with Ezekiel. Elias’ younger brother. Not that KO believes him.

The former Universal Champion has been one a crusade to prove that Ezekiel and Elias are in fact one in the same.
