Kevin Owens Drops AEW Tease On Raw By Using Top Star’s Signature Submission

Kevin Owens may be set to compete for the WWE Title at Day One but the star could have given a glimpse into his future after he broke out a top AEW star’s move on Raw.

The status of several WWE Superstar’s contracts has been a hot topic in 2021 with the likes of Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole joining AEW once their deals had expired and a whole host of other former WWE stars becoming All Elite when they were released from the company.

Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly are two stars who could be making their last appearances for WWE on the 7th of December edition of NXT 2.0. Gargano reportedly signed a one-week extension to his deal so he could compete at NXT WarGames but that short-term deal is rumoured to expire on the 10th of December.

Raw star Kevin Owens has also been the subject of much discussion about his future after it emerged that his own WWE deal expires early in 2022. The former WWE Universal Champion has already teased the world about his future after he alluded to Mount Rushmore after Cole made his AEW debut at All Out. Mount Rushmore was the name that Cole, Owens, and The Young Bucks gave themselves for a spell on the independent scene.

Now Owens has perhaps offered another AEW tease on Raw in his bout with Big E inside a steel cage on Raw. Kevin Owens pulled out all the stops in his attempt to defeat the WWE Champion, even locking Big E in the Walls Of Jericho.

Chris Jericho is of course a top star in All Elite Wrestling and was the company’s first-ever AEW Champion. Prior to that Owens and Jericho were a highly entertaining tag team on WWE television until the dreaded Festival Of Friendship put paid to that as Owens turned on his fellow Canadian.

Kevin Owens did not have the same success as Jericho normally does with the Walls Of Jericho as Big E was able to defeat Owens on Raw. The two men will be joined by Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Title at the upcoming Day One pay-per-view.
