WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash is the latest star to give his thoughts on the retirement of Vince McMahon as the wrestling world continues to reel from the news.
On July 22nd Vince McMahon took to Twitter to give a very simple farewell message as he announced his immediate retirement from WWE. McMahon had stepped back from his role as WWE Chairman and CEO amid investigations into his conduct after allegations of sexual misconduct and hush money payments emerged.
The retirement was addressed on the same night’s SmackDown with new co-CEO Stephanie McMahon leading the crowd in a ‘Thank You Vince’ chant.
Now Kevin Nash has given his thoughts on Vince McMahon’s retirement on his Kliq This podcast, and the former WWE Champion showed his gratitude to McMahon:
“To Vince McMahon personally, right now I’m sitting in my ocean front podcast studio, and my son and I will drive 1.6 miles down the beach to our ocean front home, and without you believing in me, I would have none of this. I just wanted to personally say thank you and thank you for what you’ve done for our industry.
“I don’t know what the f*ck you’re going to do, man, but if you want to drink some f*cking red or white, I’ll pick you up in the Bronco. You just got to fly your private sh*t down to Daytona, and I’ll meet you.”
One of Nash’s best friends, Triple H, is now running the creative side of WWE and his first official Raw in charge saw Becky Lynch announce that she will miss some time in the ring after suffering an injury at SummerSlam.
