In recent months “fans” waiting for wrestlers at the airport or outside their hotel with huge amounts of merchandise has become a serious issue.
Footage has been shared on social media of stars such as Rey Mysterio, Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, and Rhea Ripley being harassed by individuals with vast amounts of merchandise, which they will later sell online.
Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nas gave his thoughts on the problem. The WWE Hall of Famer said that if fans approach him at an airport he won’t sign anything for an adult.
“I won’t do it for an adult. I know how much those things go for. It used to be you could sign your name on then with a paint pen, [but] they got sh*t that they can just wipe that right off it. To me, it’s like if you’re carrying a Funko, I ain’t signing it. So don’t carry a Funko,”
Fans Won’t Get Anything For Free – Kevin Nash
Continuing on, Nash said that if he’s at an airport, that means he’s going to a signing, so he’s not just going to give away something for free. He joked that there’s about as much chance of CM Punk main-eventing Raw as there is of him signing things for free.
“Yeah, you’ll see a price listing in of it. The only reason I’m at the airport is because I’m going to a signing. So your chances of getting something for free, being the reason that I’m leaving my f*cking house in the first place, is about as good a chance of fucking Punk being the main event on Raw Monday when he showed up in the parking lot,“
Speaking in March, Rhea Ripley called on fans to treat wrestlers as human beings, imploring them to stop following them around airports.
