WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash addressed rumors about his relationship with fellow wrestling legend, Hulk Hogan.
In a recent episode of The Kliq This podcast, Nash stated:
“Hulk is one of the smartest guys I’ve ever met in this business… I don’t have to be with him 24/7, but when it comes down to somebody trying to bushwhack him, I got his back, and I know he’s got mine.”
“Hulk Hogan Thanked Me And Told Me He Loved Me”
Nash went on to recount an instance in which a documentary team reached out to him through his management with an offer to include information about the Gawker case in a Hogan promo, without consulting Hogan first. Nash explained:
“I was contacted by this documentary team out of London. They wanted to do a Hulk Hogan promo and included the Gawker stuff. They came through my management and made an offer. But before I even considered it, I wanted to make sure Hulk was okay with it. I found out that they hadn’t even talked to him about it. It was some back door, bush league move and they were trying to get Gawker information out of me.
So I called Hulk and asked him if he knew anything about it. When he said no, I told the team to ‘f**k off’. Hogan thanked me and told me he loved me. It’s as simple as that. We may not talk all the time, but when it comes down to it, we’ve got each other’s backs.
Nash’s comments on the podcast serve to clear up any confusion about the nature of his relationship with Hogan and show the strong bond and mutual respect between the two wrestling icons. Despite not being in regular communication, they remain close friends and are there for each other when it matters.
