Kevin Nash said that Triple H would have a significant impact on talent knowing what they will be doing on Raw and SmackDown.
After former CEO Vince McMahon announced his retirement, many wondered who would become Head of Creative for WWE. It was then reported that Triple H would take over creative duties, garnering excitement from fans and wrestlers.
There has been speculation on which aspects of Raw and SmackDown would see a significant change now that Triple H is in charge. Under Vince McMahon, sometimes certain talent wouldn’t know what their role would be once the shows began. It left many frustrated, with some blaming McMahon for leaving them to fill in the blanks themselves once they were on television.
One person who experienced this first hand is WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash. In the latest edition of “Kliq This,” Nash spoke about working with CM Punk on television being given only the bare bones of what he was supposed to do on Raw. The Hall of Famer believes Triple H will do a better job letting everyone know what they are supposed to say and do once the show airs.
“Vince will f*cking not have the show done. I remember when I was working with CM Punk and Phil and I would just be sitting there and of course, it didn’t affect me because they gave me no f*cking verbiage … They wanted the basic bullets and we just look at each other and the pyro is starting and we don’t even have, ‘I’ll see you out there.’
“I think right one thing, one thing guaranteed that happened this Monday was that it was, you know, people knew probably by 5:00 people had a concrete idea exactly what was going to f*cking happen in the Garden.”
Of course, Vince McMahon is known for throwing away scripts and sometimes rewriting large chunks of them during the show. It was reported that McMahon dealt with issues of memory loss which caused him to forget certain names and aspects of the script. Over the years, fans have wondered if McMahon was healthy enough even to run creative.
This week’s Raw has already seen some significant changes, with stars such as Ciampa and Mustafa Ali getting more time to wrestle and the first hour being commercial-free.
