On the final edition of IMPACT! before Sacrifice, IMPACT Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore made a huge announcement regarding the show’s main event: IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Moose would face-off in the show’s main event to unify both titles, with the winner facing AEW World Champion Kenny Omega at Rebellion with both titles on the line.

After a gruelling, fast paced contest at Sacrifice, Swann eventually picked up the win over Moose, becoming the unified IMPACT World Champion thus setting up the much anticipated match with Omega.
In a recent interview with Inside The Ropes‘ Lead Writer Gary Cassidy, Swann revealed that he had been “lobbying hard” for a one on one match with Omega, after being defeated by the AEW Champion in a Six-Man Tag Team Match at Hard To Kill.
Back on AEW, on the March 10th episode of Dynamite, Omega came to face to face with new signee Christian Cage, fleeing the ring after trying to land a cheap shot on his new rival.
