AEW World Champion Kenny Omega made quite a splash in the wrestling world towards the end of 2020 – even more so than usual. As well as reaching the pinnacle of All Elite Wrestling, Omega quickly added IMPACT Wrestling to his weekly schedule before the announcement came that The Cleaner will compete for the company at Hard To Kill.
One man who has flew the IMPACT flag high throughout the entirety of 2020 and beyond, though, is Chris Bey. Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Bey discussed a potential match with Omega.
“If we wrestle, I’ll be wearing the IMPACT flag when we do. I’ll test my skills against anyone from AEW. They can all learn a lesson from me in the art of finesse.”
So, what did the AEW Champion think of that suggestion?
“Let’s hope I don’t have explosive diarrhea that day”

Omega responded to a tweet from Inside The Ropes after we covered the story here on ITRWrestling.com, and it doesn’t seem like the NJPW legend is too impressed with the suggestion.
IMPACT Wrestling’s Don Callis recently spoke with Inside The Ropes about how he and Omega are calling the shots.
“The reason why you are seeing these barriers being broken down today is not because Don Callis went and had a meeting or Scott D’Amore had a meeting, or someone had a meeting. The real reason why this is happening is because Kenny Omega and Don Callis are in such a powerful position right now that we literally can do whatever we want. We can write our own ticket.”
Fans in the UK & Ireland can catch IMPACT! every Wednesday on FreeSports at 10pm, and AEW Dynamite shortly after, at 1am, via Fite TV.
