Kenny Omega Calls Out ‘Weird WWE Stans’

AEW World Heavyweight Champion, Kenny Omega, has hit out at ‘weird WWE stans’ for attempting to rile him during the Royal Rumble on January 31.

During the event, Roman Reigns defended his WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens in a Last Man Standing Match when he rendered his challenger unconscious with a Guillotine Choke.

However, during the bout which spilled backstage, Reigns was seen to heinously run down Owens with a golf cart in a scene somewhat reminiscent of Omega and Matt Hardy doing the same to Sammy Guevara in All Elite Wrestling.

When fans realised the similarity, they took to social media to air their belief that the company had copied the scene tagging Omega in their tweets. Taking it as WWE attempting to draw him into something he didn’t wish to be involved in, ‘The Cleaner’ tweeted out a message that was less than complimentary to fans of World Wrestling Entertainment:

“Word of advice to all you weird WWE stans. If you’re trying to piss me off, tweet something controversial about a video game I like. I don’t care much about wrestling opinions. Those are yours. Have them.”

Kenny Omega’s tweet was followed by appreciation for the stunt in which he admitted that the spot was executed very well:

“Guys, I know. They did it well so props to all involved.”

Kenny Omega is currently aligned with Executive Vice President of IMPACT Wrestling, Don Callis, as well as The Good Brothers in a somewhat reformation of The Bullet Club on American shores.
