AEW star Keith Lee has discussed the problems “most people” in WWE had with the way that the former NXT North American Champion spoke.
Keith Lee was released from his WWE contract in November 2021, sitting out his non-compete clause before making his surprise AEW debut on the 9th of February edition of AEW Dynamite.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Keith Lee discussed the possibility of forming a faction with AEW announcer and WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry. Lee added that he’s open to the idea and it could have worked in WWE as people there had an issue with how he spoke:
“Listen, it’s something that Mark and I talked about years ago, maybe I think I was still in NXT at the time. He knows I am open to that. Especially since in that particular place, most people had an issue with the way that I speak and my demeanor in how I speak, and my cadence.”
“I don’t know what it is about. Maybe my voice or maybe its vocal tone, whatever it may be, was a bit of an issue there. If it ever becomes an issue, I am sure that Mark could take the reins. The guy is very versatile with his microphone skills.”
Keith Lee will be a part of the Face Of The Revolution ladder match at Revolution on the 6th of March where he will vie for the brass ring alongside Wardlow, Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks, and Orange Cassidy.
