Keith Lee Celebrates NXT Title Anniversary, Asks For Patience

Keith Lee

Keith Lee has sent out a message of hope to his fans asking them not to quit on him while he celebrated the one-year anniversary of becoming a double champion in NXT.

History was made on July 8th, 2020 when Keith Lee faced Adam Cole for the NXT Championship on night two of The Great American Bash. Lee already held the NXT North American Championship after defeating Cole’s Undisputed Era partner Roderick Strong for that title in January. In defeating Cole, Lee became the first man to hold the NXT and North American Titles simultaneously.

The day after SummerSlam 2020 Keith Lee made his move to the WWE main roster and officially joined Raw. He immediately entered into storylines with Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre and was part of the Raw team that swept aside SmackDown at the Survivor Series. At the Elimination Chamber event in February, Lee was originally factored into a match for the US Championship with Riddle and Bobby Lashley but was pulled from the match to be replaced by John Morrison. Lee’s last match in the company came two weeks before Elimination Chamber on the 8th of February when he defeated Riddle on Raw.

Since then Lee has not appeared on WWE television, occasionally taking to social media to send what updates he can to his fans. Keith Lee once again took to Twitter telling the Lee-gion of his supporters to have patience.

Lee Tweeted:

“Many of you are reminding me of this day a year ago. So much has happened since then, it feels so long ago. Patience my friends….there is zero quit IN me. So don’t you quit ON me. I miss you. And I love you.”
