According to PWInsider.com, a number of WWE talents have been ordered to work on “refining and improving their in-ring skills” at the request of WWE management.
PWInsider states that a Vince McMahon edict has seen Keith Lee, Otis, Dio Maddin (AKA MACE from RETRIBUTION), Dabba-Kato, and AJ Styles’ bodyguard Omos taking part in regular workouts at the WWE Performance Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the goal of improving and refining their work inside the ring.
Keith Lee would arguably be the more surprising of the names on the last, having simultaneously held both the NXT Championship and NXT North American Championship before being moved to WWE RAW earlier this year, where his first WWE pay-per-view appearance would see the WWE Universe Bask In His Glory as Lee defeated 14-time WWE Champion Randy Orton.
Yesterday, it was reported that Keith Lee was being considered for a starring role at WrestleMania, particularly in a Triple Threat Match against Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar – which the natural assumption would be that may be a WWE Championship match and would definitely be one of the main featured matches on the card.
Otis, who is also named on the list, won the Men’s Money In The Bank Match, however wouldn’t get the chance to cash in for a title opportunity, and instead losing the briefcase to Miz at the hands of his former tag team partner Tucker, who was moved to RAW while Otis remains on SmackDown.
Meanwhile, Omos is yet to wrestle a match on RAW, while Dabba-Kato was drafted to the brand but hasn’t wrestled since RAW Underground has ceased to feature. Dio Maddin, performing now as MACE from RETRIBUTION, has wrestled sparingly since his identity was revealed.
