WWE personality Kayla Braxton’s Twitter account has been deactivated. On Monday night, Braxton tweeted about Covid-19 and how fans were sending “disgusting tweets” to her.
Braxton – a backstage interviewer for Friday Night SmackDown – took to Twitter recently to reveal that someone close to her had tragically passed away as a result of the virus. She then went on to say that she had been receiving “disgusting” tweets tagging her in cruel jokes.
While I was at work tonight, I got a call that someone very close to me died of covid. And as I logged on to this platform tonight, I noticed multiple disgusting tweets tagging me to make jokes about me when I had the virus early this year. FU*K you.
This online abuse has resulted in Kayla deactivating her Twitter account. The WWE announcer has had to deal with the virus very closely over the past year – unfortunately contracting Covid-19 on two separate occasions, once in March and then again in June 2020. This time away from Twitter will hopefully allow the star to heal from the negativity and allow her to move forward.
Back in June 2020, she revealed (on Twitter) that she had contracted the virus for a second time, advising others to take caution even if they had previously contracted and recovered.
Was keeping it quiet but since everyone else is sharing, I feel like it is my responsibility to share this PSA: YOU CAN GET COVID-19 MORE THAN ONCE! I had it back in early March and then thought I was invincible after I recovered. Not true. Don’t be dumb like me.
As what may be happening now, Kayla took a break from social media back in Summer 2020 to recover. Let’s hope that this break is temporary and that Kayla can bounce back from this after some time away to heal.
