Kay Lee Ray raised the stakes in her quest to become NXT Women’s Champion by kidnapping Mandy Rose’s Toxic Attraction stablemates!
Former NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray has been on a path of destruction in recent weeks, using her baseball bat to smash anything that gets in her way on NXT 2.0. Toxic Attraction has drawn the ire of the Scottish superstar, and she’s had multiple clashes with the stable as she looks to become a champion once again by taking on the faction’s leader, NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose.
On the latest episode of NXT 2.0, after NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Gigi Dolin and Jayce Jane granted a tag title match to Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta, Kay Lee Ray confronted the stable once again with baseball bat in hand and demanded a title match from Rose. When Mandy declined, Kay Lee Ray hit back, saying that she was the longest reigning women’s champion of the modern era.
Mandy Rose wanted to talk about herself and her notable accomplishments, but once she was done, Kay Lee Ray said that none of Mandy’s accolades compared to any in ring skill and that the former NXT Women’s Champion was more than worthy.
“I was champion for 649 days. I dominated an entire continent while you were slipping on your a** at WrestleMania and sucking the face off Otis.”
After Mandy reaffirmed that nothing Kay Lee Ray could bring to the table would ever replace her as the hottest thing in WWE, Ray declared that by the end of the night she would have her title match and slapped Rose in the face, ending the segment by chasing off Toxic Attraction with her baseball bat.
As the stable of champions went to leave and got in their rental car later in the show, Mandy Rose once again declared herself superior to her would-be challenger and said that Kay Lee Ray didn’t deserve a title opportunity. However, after Jayce Jane and Gigi Dolin had already gotten in the car, Kay Lee Ray revealed herself to be the driver, and drove away with the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, leaving Mandy Rose in dismay.
The two weren’t done for the night, though, as Kay Lee Ray returned later on to chase Mandy Rose into the men’s locker room, interrupting a conversation between Malik Blade and Edris Enofe. In another confrontation, Mandy Rose thought she’d escaped Kay Lee Ray in the catering area, but the crafty Glaswegian had beaten her to the area and dumped a bowl of spaghetti on the head of the NXT Women’s Champion before hitting her in the face with a conveniently placed sheet cake.

As Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa were celebrating their victory over Legado del Fantasma, Kay Lee Ray chased Mandy Rose back into the arena and declared that she didn’t want to wait until Vengeance Day on February 15th; she wanted an NXT Women’s Championship match next week. Still covered in cake a spaghetti sauce, the exhausted champion agreed, confirming that the two will face off on the February 8th episode.
