Karrion Kross is at the top of the world, possibly with the amount of popularity he has been enjoying with the WWE Universe lately. His ferocious yet truthful promos have resonated with the fans. One such promo that Kross delivered was after WrestleMania, where he talked about getting opportunities and how people within the promotion were favored over those who busted their backsides daily. Despite that WWE has not been very kind to him, and he failed to get regular matches on TV to try and prove himself.
While the Herald of Doomsday does enjoy a lot of TV time, his feud against Sami Zayn that culminated in matches at Night of Champions and SummerSlam was perhaps his first major feud in a while. More importantly, the biggest issue with Kross is that his contract is apparently up soon. It has been revealed that both Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux will see their contracts at the end of this week. Depending on which report you have read, they have either been offered a contract and have denied it or have not been offered one at all by WWE.
Kross himself has dismissed a lot of the rumors online and stated that whatever he says is the ultimate truth, and nobody should believe what they read online. This has led to quite a situation with the star, as many fans think he should take his chances and not re-sign with WWE even if the opportunity presents itself. But that has its downsides as well.
It’s Not Easy For Karrion Kross To Outright Leave WWE
Karrion Kross has been released by WWE once in his life. The star knows very well that it can be quite the struggle to make it on the independent scene. He also knows that with WWE, even though there’s limited TV time and matches, the pay can be worth it. As a man who has a family, it can be a difficult choice to make. More importantly, it’s not always easy to say goodbye to a promotion where you have spent so many years and have so many friends.

The matter should be dealt with more pragmatically than emotionally. Kross can easily move elsewhere and perhaps even cherish the chance to be Killer Kross once again, but would it all be worth it? Fans should not forget that The Herald of Doomsday is north of 40, therefore, almost reaching the end of his career. With his career as a top star almost at the end, many would want to go for the safer option and stay with the biggest player in the yard.
However, there’s one other player who could be more than willing to take him on.
Karrion Kross Should Say Goodbye To WWE And Try His Luck With AEW
AEW has a proven track record of wanting to take on former WWE talent, not because they are desperate for star power, but mostly because they are a great home for some of WWE’s more underutilized talents to thrive there. The latest example of this is Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP, all of whom left WWE for AEW and are now thriving in the promotion as The Hurt Syndicate.
Kross could be another one of those examples, with Tony Khan‘s backing, Karrion Kross could use his half-work, half-shoot style of working and thrive in AEW. It goes without saying that All Elite Wrestling also has deep pockets and would be more than willing to splash on the star if they see potential in him. There, he could also have some dream matches against stars such as Will Ospreay, Hangman Page, and Jon Moxley, the man who changed his life by connecting him with Triple H.
“The Audience Is Calling For Him To Be A Bigger Star. If We Don't Deliver It On a Correct Timetable…AN IMPATIENT AUDIENCE IS GOING TO GET BEHIND HIM EVEN MORE”

The former NXT Champion could unleash his full potential with the promotion and could easily capture the TNT Title one day.
There are several reasons that exemplify why AEW and Karron Kross are a match made in heaven. One of the other ones is that in Tony Khan’s territory, a wrestler has greater say in terms of creative and can have some input, something that is almost negligible in WWE. While a star definitely can’t have total control over his or her character, even a bit of input can go a long way in determining the success of a gimmick.
Karrion Kross would love nothing more than to somewhat drive where his story goes. While he will probably never win the world title in AEW, he could certainly have a great few years at the top of the industry.
Moreover, Tony Khan could also do with someone who has a lot of character and commands respect from the fans. It could be an interesting combination if Karrion Kross can make the move.
