Karrion Kross and Scarlett have commented on their return to WWE after being cut from the company last November.
On the 5 August episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Karrion Kross and Scarlett interrupted a segment between Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns, introducing themselves to the main event scene with an attack on McIntyre in their official WWE return.
Speaking on Corey Graves’ After the Bell podcast, the duo talked about their comeback and the impact Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has had on it:
“[Kross] It’s really hard to find the words. To want something so bad and then to have to accept that’s not the reality anymore, and then to get a call one day, out of the blue, and be offered everything you were striving for. It’s pretty incredible.
[Scarlett] It was the easiest decision too. We had talked about, ‘What if we get this opportunity? Where can we do this? This is how we’re going to do [this] thing, we’re going to stick to it. We have to do things on our terms.’ It’s funny when Hunter called us, he was the best boss we ever had. It was a complete no-brainer. No other company has ever compared to it. We trust him, we definitely trust him with our characters and storylines. It’s perfect.”
Signing with WWE in early 2020, the pair made their televised NXT debut in April. Over the next year, Kross became a two-time NXT champion, picking up victories over Keith Lee, Finn Bálor, and Ciampa.
Kross was called up to the main roster by himself in July 2021, losing to Jeff Hardy while still NXT champion in a critically-panned booking choice. His character and attire were changed over the next few weeks before he and Scarlett were part of the 4 November WWE releases.
