Kross also revealed that he considered the legend a friend.
I’ve had a relationship with Paul Heyman for a very long time that I have never talked about publicly. I consider him a veteran, I consider him a great source for advice and information, and I consider him a friend. I have literally never reiterated a single conversation I have ever had with Paul.”
Karrion Kross Revealed A Genuine Paul Heyman Advice That Changed His WWE Career
Karrion Kross then went on to detail a lengthy yet fruitful conversation he had backstage with Paul Heyman. The star revealed that he was off TV at the time, and Heyman’s words of advice stuck with him to date.
A long time ago, in this last term that I had. There was a time when I was off TV for three months, maybe four or five months. I was backstage at TV every week, hoping this was going to be the day we get back on TV. He calls me over to sit down in Gorilla. He goes I wanna ask you a question. ‘Say they pull you off TV for another two months, three months. Do you think that if they give you an opportunity to go out there and perform at your best, you could get over with that audience and entertain them?’ I said, ‘Of course.’ He said, ‘Good. I do too. Never forget that. How about five months, could you do it?’ I said, ‘Of course, I could.’ ‘Good. How about six months? How about a year? Could you go out there? No handcuffs, no restrictions, if you engage that audience, could you get over? Could you do what you’re supposed to do at this job?’ I said ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘Good. Don’t ever let the time you spend off TV rattle you because you know what you’re doing.’ I can verbatim repeat that. That is a conversation that has lived in my head till now. It solidified my confidence in what I was doing like I had never ever had it before.” [45:25 onwards]
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux and whether they will return to WWE in the future.
