Former NXT Champion, Karrion Kross, has made his triumphant return to NXT after three and a half months on the shelf with injury.
During the December 9 edition of the black and gold brand, Kross’ return was first heralded during the opening segment of the show as Finn Balor’s next challenger was being decided between Pete Dunne, Kyle O’Reilly and Damian Priest.
As Balor left the decision to NXT General Manager, William Regal, and made his way up the ramp, Kross’ music hit and Scarlett appeared to silently warn the champion that the man he replaced had returned.
However, events took an unusual turn when Damian Priest told the leather clad valet that if her man was waiting in the car, then he should come out and fight him. ‘The Archer of Infamy’ would regret those words later in the broadcast when he was attacked by Kross and left laying.
While plans are yet to be unveiled of what NXT are going to do with Karrion Kross and whether or not he will be the man to battle Finn Balor at NXT: New Year’s Evil on January 6, it seems that the powerhouse is on a collision course with Priest in the interim.
Karrion Kross has been out of action since NXT TakeOver: 30 when he defeated Keith Lee for the NXT Championship. During that match, he suffered a separated acromioclavicular joint and was forced to vacate the gold on the proceeding edition of NXT.
