A new clip posted online has appeared to confirm that Karrion Kross will be a playable character in WWE 2K22, despite leaving the company in November 2021.

WWE 2K22 will be released on March the 11th with the newest instalment in the 2K22 series featuring former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio will as the newest cover star.

The Showcase mode is back in the game and will feature the incredible career of Mysterio. In addition, MyGM mode returns to WWE 2K22 with fans being able to take control of their own roster of WWE Superstars.

A press release from WWE touted different versions of the game including a Cross-Gen bundle, a Deluxe Edition as well as a nWo 4-Life Edition. Players who pre-order the game will also receive an Undertaker Immortal Pack which contains three additional Undertaker personas including Masked Phantom Undertaker, The Lord Of Darkness, and Boneyard Match Undertaker. Pre-orders for the new game are now available.

As the release date for the game moves ever closer, a number of ratings for featured Superstars have now been revealed on G4TV. Interestingly, during the ratings reveal for the Usos, a gameplay clip featuring Jey Uso was shown where he was wrestling Karrion Kross, hinting that at least some of WWE’s released Superstars will remain in the game.

Karrion Kross later sent out a tweet appearing to confirm he will be part of the game.

Karrion Kross and his partner Scarlett Bordeaux were released by WWE in November 2021 after a little under two years with the company. Kross enjoyed a successful spell in NXT where he won the NXT Championship twice, squaring off against the likes of Keith Lee and Finn Balor.

He was later called up to Monday Night Raw in July 2021, but despite numerous changes to his character, he was unable to recapture the success he had enjoyed in NXT.
