Karrion Kross has revealed that discussions were held within WWE which could have led to him squaring off against the likes of Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley and even Bray Wyatt.
While Karrion Kross reigned supreme over NXT, not once but twice, this form never translated into a dominant showing on the main roster. After initially feuding with Jeff Hardy and Keith Lee, Kross slid from view and was released less than a handful of months after arriving on Monday Night Raw.
However, according to the man himself, things could have been very different. Speaking on the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, Kross said that his name was brought up as a potential challenger for a number of current and former champions.
“I did have several people tell me that there were conversations at one point of me working with Randy, Bobby, Drew, Bray, and maybe Roman,” Kross said. “But it wasn’t anything concrete. My name was being mentioned with theirs as possible match-ups and stuff like that, which I was absolutely thrilled for. I mean, who wouldn’t be?”
By the time Karrion Kross arrived on the main roster in July 2021, he did so without his real-life partner and on-screen valet Scarlett. In fact, Scarlett didn’t feature on the main roster at all during the couple’s run with WWE, being released on the same say as her partner.
However, later reflecting on her time with WWE, the former IMPACT Wrestling star revealed that she was originally meant to transition into becoming a wrestler, rather than just being a valet. Although, these plans were scrapped when Scarlett couldn’t get medically cleared following what she described as a “busted breast implant.”
