Karrion Kross Makes Statement On His Raw Debut

Karrion Kross, Killer Kross

NXT Champion Karrion Kross has commented on his Raw debut that had some fans scratching their head after the dominant star lost in short order to Jeff Hardy.

Kross had not lost a televised one-on-one match in the company since he joined the black and gold brand in 2020. The two-time NXT Champion is among those that had been reported to have taken part in dark matches at Raw and SmackDown in recent weeks as the company looks to fill its ranks after recent releases.

On the 19th of July edition of Monday Night Raw, Karrion Kross came to the ring wearing his NXT gold for his match on the red brand against Jeff Hardy. Hardy went back to the future for his choice of entrance music on that night and defeated Kross with a roll-up keeping his feet on the ropes for leverage.

Given Jeff Hardy and Karrion Kross’ respective standings in the company at present, many were surprised that Kross had fallen to defeat. Now Kross has taken to social media to give his two cents on his Raw debut.

On Instagram, Kross wrote:

Scarlett asked me in private many months ago what would be my ideal scenario for going up to main roster.
I told her in a perfect world,
I’d love to work both shows; @wwenxt & @wwe #WWERAW and possibly even #WWESmackdown.
I wanted as much as what was available to do.

Birthday rolls around months later,
And on that very day of July 19th,
I got what I wanted.
Never discussed it with anyone, never talked about it.
I just put it out there in the universe and did my best to privately work towards it.

Getting in front of a packed arena, full house and having the opportunity to do what I love in front of the #WWEUniverse; to hear, see and feel them after over a year of being here without a full attendance and chasing this for so long before I arrived…

This month has been pretty awesome.
Looking forward to the future…

And more. #TickTock

Karrion Kross had more success on the next episode of Raw when he defeated the man he beat for his first NXT Championship, Keith Lee. Lee had made his first Raw appearance in five months on the 19th of July show where he lost to WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
