Karrion Kross opens up on Scarlett’s WWE contract offer.
Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s WWE exit is one that shocked many, as the wrestling couple have become some of the fan favorites these past few months. Although The Harbinger of Doom is the only one among the duo who wrestled in the Stamford-based promotion, his wife’s presence complements and completes his character. However, it seems like the promotion didn’t see it this way.
Following their Stamford-based promotion exit, Karrion Kross appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show, where he discussed the details surrounding their departure. The former superstar revealed that WWE had no offer for Scarlett, and was told that the company would only “deal” with her after securing from him.
“Nothing, she had nothing, there was no offer to her. I was told at one point ‘after we deal with you, we’ll deal with her’. I don’t know (if they were willing to offer her a separate contract). I don’t see why we couldn’t have done things the way we did before.” [H/T The Sportster]
Karrion Kross Reveals If His And Scarlett’s WWE Exit Is A Work
There was initial disbelief that the former NXT Champion and Scarlett’s exit from the Stamford-based promotion was only scripted, due to WWE recently revealing that Seth Rollins wasn’t truly injured after cashing in against CM Punk at SummerSlam for the World Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately for the wrestling couple, their situation is much different.
In the same appearance with Ariel Helwani, Karrion and the titular host had a conversation where Kross was asked directly if their exit was only a work. The former superstar answered, as his non-wrestling character, that Kevin Robert Kesa has departed WWE, along with Scarlett.
