Ever since Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows returned to WWE to re-form The O.C., the wrestling world has been in an uproar, but we’ve also got a little controversy brewing as well.
Currently, Anderson is the NEVER Openweight Champion of New Japan Pro Wrestling, and with his recent run to WWE, it’s unsure if he’ll defend his title, with a bout scheduled between him and Hikuleo on November 5 during the Burning Spirit Tour.
Hikuleo called out the new WWE signee on Twitter:
“You hiding from me?? @MachineGunKA.”
It’s important to note that NJPW’s official Twitter account retweeted World Wrestling Entertainment’s clip of the return of Anderson and Gallows, but that’s not at all, it appears that WWE and NJPW are working together. With the latest update for NJPW’s card, their website still has Anderson taking on Hikuleo.
Under Vince McMahon, WWE talent was normally restricted to just World Wrestling Entertainment, however, it appears that new Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque has changed that policy.
If Anderson does goes forward with the Japan plans, it would mean that he would miss Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia, which also takes place on November 5 alongside NJPW’s Burning Spirit event.
