On last week’s season premiere of WWE Raw, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made a surprise return to WWE in order to reunite with AJ Styles in his feud against The Judgment Day. For weeks, Finn Balor has been asking Styles to join his group, but the Phenomenal One has vehemently declined. On October 10th, he said that he had been alone for too long and embraced Balor, only to reveal that he’d brought The OC back to Monday Night Raw.
Fast forward to one week later, and it was announced that The OC’s Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and AJ Styles would take on Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and Dominik Mysterio of The Judgment Day at WWE Crown Jewel on November 9th. The announcement came after the Good Brothers defeated Alpha Academy, giving them momentum. However, Dominik Mysterio, who recently turned on his father and joined The Judgment Day at Clash at the Castle, scored an upset victory over Styles later in the episode.
Karl Anderson Is the Current NJPW Never Openweight Champion
Many were surprised when Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made their return to WWE as Anderson is the currently reigning NJPW Never Openweight Champion. He is scheduled to face Hikuleo in Osaka Japan on November 5th, which conflicts with the announcement on Raw that he will be at WWE Crown Jewel the same day.
Following the return of the OC to Raw, Dave Meltzer speculated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Anderson may have insisted on making the date in Osaka in order to drop the title to Hikuleo, but the Crown Jewel announcement places this in doubt. Hikuleo himself recently called out Anderson on social media, asking if the Good Brother was hiding from him following his Raw debut.
PWInsider points out that Osaka, Japan is six hours ahead of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Given that it’s a 16-hour flight between the two locations, it would be impossible for Karl Anderson to attend both events.
