Karen Jarrett has claimed that husband Jeff Jarrett would never have been truly happy in WWE so counts his recent departure as a positive.
In May 2022 Jeff Jarrett re-joined WWE having left his position as part of the creative team in January of the previous year.
Upon returning to the company the former Intercontinental Champion was named Senior Vice President of Live Events. During this period he also served as the special guest referee at for the match between The Usos and The Street Profits at SummerSlam.
However, on August 22nd it was reported that Jarrett had left the company, with Road Dogg returning to take over his role.
Speaking on AdFreeShows’ Ask Karen Anything, the WWE Hall of Famer’s wife discussed his exit from the company. Karen Jarrett described his departure as a “blessing,” noting that he still has a lot to offer the wrestling business, which he wouldn’t have been able to act upon, had he remained with WWE.
“I think it’s a blessing that he’s not there, I still think he has so much to offer to the business inside the ring and, just, I think he would’ve been limited working there with all the knowledge that he has… I don’t know that he would’ve been truly happy with the changes that were made, so I think God was taking care of us by doing that.”
During the show Karen also revealed that while Jarrett worked in creative he would sometimes be locked in meetings until 3am.
Jeff Jarrett has enjoyed something of an Indian summer with regard to his in-ring career, competing in GCW, NWA and AAA.
