AEW Superstar, Jungle Boy, has revealed the original plan for him upon signing with the company which didn’t involve the colossal Luchasaurus.
On AEW television, the three man Jurassic Express – Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Mark Stunt – are a popular mid-card team with the potential to rise even higher in the company. They have feuded with The Inner Circle and the promotion’s top stars but the trio were only meant to be a duo.
Appearing on the AEW Unrestricted Podcast, Jungle Boy talked about the original plans for him in AEW and how he and Luchasaurus were not meant to cross paths.
While meeting with The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes at an indie show, the son of Luke Perry detailed how it was meant to be just him and Mark Stunt:
“I had already had the call before that, and originally, I remember the first time I actually met The Bucks. I met Matt [Jackson] and Cody before, but The Bucks and Cody came to Bar Wrestling because they were kind of going around doing a little indie tour. And I took this picture with them that was like my announcement picture. But originally, they were telling me that day me and Marko were supposed to be a team. That was the original plan before he (Luchasaurus) was in the mix.”
Recently, Jurassic Express have been a mainstay on AEW Dark where they have racked up an undefeated streak against teams such as The Dark Order, TNT, Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss and The Panda Express to name only a few.
The last time the group fell in doubles action was on the September 16 AEW Dynamite to FTR. Since then, they have racked up an impressive ten straight victories to date.
