Jungle Boy Becomes First AEW Wrestler To Hit 50 Wins Milestone

Jungle Boy

The numbers don’t lie for Jungle Boy in All Elite Wrestling as the Jurassic Express member has become the first star in the company to notch up fifty victories.

When AEW began, eyebrows were raised when they announced that there would be a record kept of wins and losses and these would factor into a competitor’s ranking. The figures appear in each star’s lower third that introduces them on-screen with overall totals and yearly running totals accounted for.

Jungle Boy was one of AEW’s first signings with his debut coming at the promotion’s inaugural pay-per-view Double Or Nothing in May 2019. At that event, Jack Perry entered the Casino Battle Royale that was won by Hangman Adam Page.

Incredibly Jungle Boy’s first victory in the company didn’t come until his twelfth match. In that bout, he teamed with long-time partner Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt to defeat Best Friends and Orange Cassidy. It should be noted that before that victory, Jungle Boy managed a draw against AEW Champion Chris Jericho as he lasted the ten-minute time limit Jericho imposed on the contest.

Jungle Boy received his first title match in AEW in late May 2020. He had won a battle royal to become the number one contender to Cody Rhodes’ TNT Championship but was unable to unseat Rhodes as champion when they met. Another title shot came Jungle Boy’s way in August when he and Luchasaurus challenged then-AEW Tag Team Champions Kenny Omega and Adam Page, again to no success.

Jungle Boy went one better at Double Or Nothing 2021 than he did two years previous when he won the Casino Battle Royal to earn a shot at Kenny Omega for the AEW Title. Unfortunately for Jungle Boy he came up short against The Belt Collector and fell to his 28th defeat in the company. His landmark fiftieth win came on the 30th of June edition of AEW Dynamite when he defeated Hardy Family Office flunky Jack Evans.

Just behind Jungle Boy in terms of wins is the AEW Champion Kenny Omega who sits on 47, tantalisingly close to The Elite Hunter Franke Kazarian who sits on 46 career wins in AEW.

Jungle Boy may be notching up some big wins inside the AEW ring, but he may be doing ever outside of it. The AEW star recently took to social media to share a photo of himself in a romantic embrace with Dark Order’s Anna Jay.
