While AEW’s signing of Christian Cage may have stolen the headlines, their other new signing Ethan Page has already made an impact.
One of the headline matches at AEW Revolution was the six-man ladder match to determine the number one contender for Darby Allin’s TNT Championship. Heading into the show only five participants had been announced for the match leaving the way open for a surprise entrant.
With Cody Rhodes, Scorpio Sky, Penta El Zero Meido, Lance Archer and Max Caster already in the ring, there was a dramatic pause followed by the arrival of “All Ego” Ethan Page.
Following Page’s surprise debut, his former tag-team partner in IMACT, Josh Alexander posted his thoughts on Twitter, commenting that “He’s been as elite as they come for his whole career.”
Hes been as elite as they come for his whole career. If you doubt it, he'll make you regret it. Going to grab my popcorn and watch all those glass ceilings get smashed. https://t.co/FxJcd6fF9b

Alexander and Page teamed together in IMAPCT as The North where they enjoyed a great deal of success, winning the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles on two occasions. The duo’s first reign would last for a record 380 days. Following Page’s departure, Alexander has returned to singles action.
After making his surprise entrance Page came within touching distance of making a dream debut and grabbing the brass ring to win the match. After hitting Lance Archer with a low blow as he climbed the ladder, Page was all set to ascend to victory before being being taken out by a Clothesline from an interfering Jake Roberts.
Page has since revealed on Twitter that he will make his AEW Dynamite debut on the March 10th episode of the show.
