Jordynne Grace Suffers Gruesome Injury At NXT Battleground

Jordynne Grace believes that Naomi played a major part in the WWE and TNA partnership.

On January 16, 2025, WWE and TNA Wrestling announced a multi-year partnership designed to create unprecedented crossover opportunities between NXT Superstars and TNA Wrestling talent.

Prior to this formal agreement, there were successful talent exchanges in 2024. Notably, former TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry appeared on NXT programming, with Hendry competing for the NXT Championship against Ethan Page at No Mercy, and Grace challenging Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground. Also, several other NXT Superstars, including Wes Lee, Charlie Dempsey, and Tatum Paxley, made appearances on TNA programming fostering a collaborative environment between the two organisations.

While the current TNA and NXT stars are enjoying the partnership, there is one former Knockouts World Champion and current Women’s Tag Team Champion, who is getting credit from fans and Grace for helping to get the coalition underway.

Following the announcement, an excited fan wrote on social media:

Seeing the post, Grace echoed the sentiment stating:

Without @TheTrinity_Fatu, none of this would have happened.

Naomi made a significant impact and generated considerable buzz around her promotion during her time with TNA Wrestling. She debuted on April 28, 2023, under the ring name Trinity, and immediately set her sights on the Knockouts World Championship. At the Slammiversary event on July 15, 2023, Trinity defeated Deonna Purrazzo via submission to capture the title.

Throughout her reign, Trinity successfully defended the championship against formidable opponents, including Purrazzo and Mickie James. Her championship run concluded at the Hard to Kill event on January 13, 2024, when she lost the title to Grace, ending her reign at 182 days. Following her departure from TNA, Trinity returned to WWE.

Is Jordynne Grace Still Under Contract With TNA?

Grace’s last match with TNA is against Tessa Blanchard at Genesis on January 19th. It is widely expected she will join WWE soon.
