During last night’s edition of NXT UK, it was revealed that both Jordan Devlin and Gallus leader, Joe Coffey, will return to action on the black and red brand.
Jordan Devlin’s return, which will happen next week, was announced via a graphic and he will bring what he refers to as the ‘real’ NXT Cruiserweight Championship with him.
Last week, Jordan Devlin made a comeback of sorts in a video package in which he took multiple shots at current NXT Cruiserweight Champion, Santos Escobar, and WWE for forgetting about him and his reign. According to ‘The Import Killer’, they deleted him from history and he will prove that he is the one true Cruiserweight Champion of the world.
After Devlin’s vignette aired, Escobar took to Twitter in order to have his own say and repeat the words Triple H tweeted about him following his victory at NXT TakeOver 31.
While it’s unknown how this storyline will play out, we can only salivate at the prospect of Jordan Devlin vs. Santos Escobar to crown the undisputed NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
Jordan Devlin has not been seen on WWE television since March 26 thanks to the travel ban implemented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As for Gallus leader, Joe Coffey, his return to NXT UK was given it’s own special video package in which the Scot promised to add more gold to the stable that consists of current NXT UK Tag Team Champions Mark Coffey and Wolfgang.
Joe Coffey’s last appearance on NXT UK came on April 2, when he competed in the Battle Royal to crown a new No.1 Contender to Walter’s NXT UK Championship.
