Jonathan Gresham Reportedly Signs AEW Contract

Jonathan Gresham

Current Ring Of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham’s future seems to be settled with reports that he has signed a deal with AEW.

The wrestling world became a very different place in early 2022 as AEW President Tony Khan announced that he had purchased the ailing Ring Of Honor.

At ROH Supercard in early April, Jonathan Gresham solidified his place at the top of the brand as he defeated Bandido to become Undisputed Ring Of Honor World Champion. Following that win, he was confronted by former tag team partner Jay Lethal before being attacked by Lethal and Sonjay Dutt. That prompted a returning Samoa Joe to make his presence felt as it emerged that he had signed a deal with AEW.

Now Fightful Select has reported that Jonathan Gresham has done the same but that his deal will see him continue to compete on the Ring Of Honor brand. The report also noted that ROH stars Kaun and Toa Liona have also done the same after the two men were revealed to be part of Tully Blanchard Enterprises at Supercard.

Gresham defends the ROH Championship against Dalton Castle at AEW Battle Of The Belts II. That show will air on Saturday the 16th of April but spoilers from that show have already emerged.

Jonathan Gresham will also compete at IMPACT Wrestling’s Rebellion pay-per-view where he will face Honor No More’s, Eddie Edwards.
