Jon Moxley made his Bloodsport debut at GCW Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 3 in October 2020. He would defeat Chris Dickinson in the middle of the no-rope ring by choking him out following a ‘paradigm shift’ DDT. On that same night, Davey Boy Smith Jr. would defeat former IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champion, Josh Alexander by knockout.
Smith has competed on every edition of Bloodsport, remaining undefeated with four wins. As well as Alexander, Smith has defeated Killer [Karrion] Kross, ‘Filthy’ Tom Lawlor, and most recently Calvin Tankman at Bloodsport 4.
Jon Moxley has been extremely busy since leaving WWE in 2019. He has held the AEW World Championship as well as the IWGP US Championship, wrestling for both AEW New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He also took part in the grueling G1 Climax tournament in 2019. Moxley will be defending his IWGP US Championship against KENTA 6 days after meeting Smith at The New Beginning USA.
Smith is a former WWE Tag Team Champion as well as a 3-time IWGP Tag Team Champion with recent Moxley ally, Lance Archer.
