Jon Moxley will defend his Interim AEW World Championship against a surprising new challenger at the upcoming Quake By The Lake special.
AEW Fight for the Fallen opened with Jon Moxley defending his Interim AEW World Championship against RUSH. While the Mexican star pushed Moxley all the way, the bloodied champion successfully held on to the gold.
However, he wasn’t left long to celebrate as the Jericho Appreciation Society arrived on the ramp.
Jericho discussed his win over Eddie Kingston the previous week, before declaring that he was coming for the World Championship. In response, Moxley said that he was done with Jericho’s “sports entertainment bullsh*t,” before branding the former champion “pathetic.”
In the end Moxley accepted Jericho’s challenge, but only on the proviso that he gets to face Lionheart Chris Jericho, the last survivor of the Hart family dungeon.
