AEW has been terrorized by the current version of the Death Riders for almost a year now. Jon Moxley and his crew have kept the ranks tight, but now there’s talk of a surprising name joining the group.
The controversial Pureyor of Violence has been the record-setting four-time AEW World Champion since disrespectfully dethroning Bryan Danielson 254 days ago. While PAC is currently on hiatus, Moxley has led Marina Shafir, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli on a terror campaign through Tony Khan’s promotion and its affiliates. Despite criticism from fans and industry insiders, with calls for Khan to end the storyline, the Death Riders continue to dominate.
Willow Nightingale has been one of the AEW babyfaces tasked with ridding the promotion of the Death Riders. She recently dismissed Kris Statlander’s attempt at repairing their friendship and was defeated by Statlander, thanks to an unwanted and sneaky assist by the Death Riders. This came after months of frustration and uncertainty surrounding The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien, who has been encouraged to forget about Nightingale by another former ally, Wheeler Yuta.
Jon Moxley Recruiting AEW Veteran Kris Statlander Into The Death Riders
The Decoder tried to get in Kris Statlander’s ear once again on this week’s AEW Collision as she was expressing frustration while being interviewed by Lexi Nair. Statlander was interrupted by Yuta, but she cut him off, snapping at him and shoved him away.
The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien then turned around and bumped into Jon Moxley, and ended up dropping her phone. The AEW World Champion picked up her phone and proceeded to deliver a face-to-face message to the 29-year-old.
“Don’t ever… ever… let anybody tell you who you are, or what you’re worth,” Jon Moxley said in the video below.

The Lunatic Fringe then gave Statlander her phone back and walked away.
Statlander has chased AEW gold in recent months, but her only reign came as the second-ever TBS Champion after dethroning Jade Cargill at Double Or Nothing 2023. She was dethroned by Julia Hart 174 days later, in a Full Gear Triple Threat match that included Skye Blue, who was pinned.
