Jon Moxley set the wrestling world on fire when he left WWE and joined with All Elite Wrestling.Since then, the former WWE Champion has headlined pay-per-views, held the AEW World Championship, and is now an expectant father.
Moxley is now involved in a feud with the current champion, Kenny Omega, who defeated Moxley on the December 2nd edition of AEW Dynamite. The first time the title had changed hands on AEW’s flagship Wednesday night show on TNT.
In an interview with Bleacher Report, Moxley was asked who he thought was the most underrated talent in AEW, two names sprang to mind:
“It’s hard to say because so many people here get to show what they can do without any limitations. I’d say Lance Archer is a guy who can do anything, I love getting in a ring with him. He can walk into any main event and compete tomorrow. Dustin Rhodes is still going, the fastest man in wrestling still. He can jump in and surprise you on any given night.”
Archer challenged Moxley in the autumn of 2020 for the AEW World Championship. Jon Moxley defeated the ‘Murderhawk Monster’ in a brutal no-disqualification match. Lance Archer became New Japan Pro-Wrestling United States Champion after Jon Moxley had to vacate the championship. Moxley was unable to attend the King Of Pro Wrestling show in 2019, Archer would take his place and claim the vacated championship. The two meet at WrestleKingdom 2020 where Moxley would regain the title in a Texas Death Match.
Dustin Rhodes, a former WWE Intercontinental Champion, has been going through a career renaissance since joining AEW. Rhodes shared the accolade of Pro-Wrestling Illustrated Match of the Year with his brother Cody after their emotional epic at the Double Or Nothing event in 2019.
In a wide-ranging ‘Ask Me Anything’ interview, Moxley also revealed who his dream opponent would be.
