Nick Gage may have defeated Jon Moxley to save his career, but his victory came with a huge helping hand from The Firm.
Nick Gage is the brand new GCW World Champion after defeating Jon Moxley at GCW Fight Club. With victory, Gage also extended his career. Had he been defeated he would have been forced to retire.
It appeared that Moxley would be the man to have his hand raised after smashing his rival through a pane of glass, before hitting a Death Rider. However, with Gage in trouble, Stokely Hathaway and W. Morrissey of The Firm rushed the ring with the latter Chokeslamming Moxley through glass pane covered in barbed wire.
As the two AEW stars headed for the exit, Gage slid back in the ring and earned the win with two Piledrivers and a Chokebreaker.
It was recently revealed that The Firm act only at the behest of MJF, who is currently in line for a shot at Moxley’s AEW World Championship.

After the match the GCW locker room came out in support of Moxley, while Gage said that the “other bullsh*t company” wouldn’t let Moxley wrestle in GCW anymore. At this, the three-time AEW World Champion said that he’ll wrestle wherever he wants.
These comments were in reference to the new five-year contract that Moxley signed with AEW. The new deal sees the star assume an expanded role as a coach and mentor. The press release also referenced Moxley being signed exclusively to AEW and their partners, which seemingly ruled out further bookings with the likes of GCW. However, this is yet to be confirmed.
