A new report has shed light on Jon Moxley’s injury status following Forbidden Door after he alluded to possibly having a concussion.
Moxley had a banner night at Forbidden Door as he finally got his hands on New Japan’s Ace, Hiroshi Tanahashi. The two stars clashed in the main event to crown an Interim AEW World Champion with Moxley ultimately coming out on top.
During the match, however, Jon Moxley was busted open with commentary suggesting he and Tanahashi had clashed heads during a slingblade that sent Moxley sprawling to the floor.
Many had wondered about Moxley’s condition following the match after allusions were made about a concussion. However, Bryan Alvarez speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio has confirmed that AEW’s Wild Thing did not suffer a concussion on the night:
“We were talking about Jon Moxley potentially having a concussion. And I probably should have known this because I think he did a somewhat similar promo after the Filthy Tom Lawlor match. He’s used the line before after a bloody match ‘I’ve lost a lot of blood, I may be concussed’ it’s kind of part of his schtick but no he doesn’t have a concussion and he’s fine.”
