Jon Moxley is gunning for The Elite as he has issued a challenge to The Good Brothers Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson to meet him and a surprise partner in the ring.
Moxley has had his issues with The Elite ever since Kenny Omega stole the AEW World Championship from Moxley on AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming in December 2020. Since then Moxley has done battle with The Young Bucks with AEW’s Wild Thing teaming with Eddie Kingston to challenge the Jackson brothers for their titles at Double Or Nothing.
Now Jon Moxley has issued a new challenge to the current IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers to meet him at Resurgence in Los Angeles on August 14th. But Moxley won’t be alone as he says he’ll be joined by a mystery partner for the bout.

Long-time fans of Moxley in New Japan Pro Wrestling might have hoped that he could be joined by his Japanese protégé ‘Shooter’ Shota Umino. NJPW has announced that due to travel restrictions as a result of the pandemic that Umino would not be able to compete at Resurgence on August 14th or Fighting Spirit Unleashed on August 16th.
The Good Brothers have added to their recent successes by winning the Tag Team Turbulence Tournament at NJPW Strong. In the final of the tournament, the Elite duo defeated VLNC UNLTD – Brody King and Chris Dickinson.
Moxley recently lost the IWGP United States Championship to Lance Archer but he seems to have his sights set on one of NJPW’s biggest stars. At AEW Fight for The Fallen, the Ace of NJPW announced he was going to challenge the IWGP US Champion Lance Archer. Moxley later had words of his own for Tanahashi with reports suggesting Moxley vs. Tanahashi could be in the works for the All Out pay-per-view in September.
