AEW have officially announced that AEW World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega will partake in an official contract signing.
Ahead of their AEW World Heavyweight Championship Match on December 2, both champion and challenger will sit down together on the November 18 AEW Dynamite to sign on the dotted line and make the bout official.
With Omega straddling the line between babyface and heel, it will be fascinating to see which role he settles into as he approaches the biggest bout of his AEW career. After all, when has a contract signing in professional wrestling ever ran smoothly?
Kenny Omega earned the right to challenge Moxley at AEW Full Gear on November 7, when he overcame former best friend ‘Hangman’ Adam Page in the Final of the AEW World Heavyweight Championship Eliminator Tournament.
However, the enmity between seems far from over after Page was caught stalking Omega from the entrance tunnel after ‘The Cleaner’ hit the ring to congratulate The Young Bucks on their AEW World Tag Team Championship victory.
Jon Moxley retained the AEW World Heavyweight Championship against Eddie Kingston on the same same, when he wrapped barbed wire around his fist and applied a bulldog choke to force the warrior say the words, “I Quit.”
