Jackass star Johnny Knoxville has declared his entry into the 2022 Royal Rumble match taking shots at Big E and Roman Reigns along the way!

2021 was a wild year for professional wrestling and it appears that 2022 is wasting no time in picking up the baton. Taking to social media, Jackass star Johnny Knoxville has declared his intention to enter to the upcoming Royal Rumble. Not only that, the 50-year-old Tennessee native took some shots at Roman Reigns and Big E in the process.

In the clip posted on Instagram, Knoxville said that he wanted to start the new year off by “kicking ass and taking names.” He went on to explain that he would channel his wrestling heroes The Rock, Abdullah the Butcher and Gorilla Monsoon to give himself the best chance of victory.

“Happy New Year’s Day and love to everyone. I have a big announcement that I have been dying to get off of my chest. I spent a lot of times over the holiday thinking about how i wanted to start off my 2022, and I decided I want to do it kicking ass and taking names. And the best way to do that i feel is making a run for the Rumble, that’s right @WWE’s Royal Rumble. Training starts today, not that I will need a lot of it because I have seen the WWE’s current roster and it’s laughable to think anyone can throw me over the top rope. LAUGHABLE!

I will be channelling my wrestling heroes like @therock, Abdullah the Butcher and the great Gorilla Monsoon. The way I’m looking at it I am giving myself a %100 chance of winning. What chance do you think I have? Sincerely, Johnny Knoxville, World Champ #roadtowrestlemania #royalrumble #wwe #jackassforever”

WWE Later wished Knoxville good luck in the comments under the clip.

An appearance in the Royal Rumble wouldn’t be Johnny Knoxville’s first brush with WWE with the star having featured a number of times in 2007, 2008 and 2010. The first of these appearances was reportedly supposed to set up a match at that year’s SummerSlam, however the bout never came to fruition.

The star along with the cast of upcoming movie Jackass Forever, also appeared backstage on SmackDown in December 2021.
