Top free agent Johnny Gargano made a surprise appearance on the July 28th episode of IMPACT Wrestling!
Johnny Gargano hasnโt wrestled since appearing at NXT WarGames on December 5th. On the following episode of NXT 2.0, Gargano cut an emotional promo where he said goodbye to the fans who had supported him since he joined the company in 2015.
After the appearance on NXT 2.0, Garganoโs contract expired on December 10th. While the star later revealed that he always planned to become a free agent so that he would have time off for the birth of his first child, speculation abounds about where the free agent will turn up next.
The July 28th episode of IMPACT Wrestling featured a surprise television appearance from the three time NXT North American Champion, his first since his WWE exit. Johnny Wrestling appeared as part of a video package praising longtime friend Alex Shelley, who is scheduled to face Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World Championship at Emergence.

Surprisingly, despite having worked in the wrestling business for nearly 20 years, this is Johnny Gargano’s first appearance on IMPACT programming.
Johnny Gargano will be a part of Starrcast V in Nashville, taking part in a What’s NeXT panel hosted by Inside the Ropes’ own Kenny McIntosh. Along with getting answers about Gargano’s future in wrestling, McIntosh will also be hosting a special panel featuring Bret Hart as he looks back on his legendary clash with the British Bulldog at SummerSlam 30 years ago.
