Former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano has promised that he and his wife Candice LeRae will be making their return to wrestling at some point.
Johnny Gargano has not competed in a wrestling ring since being on the losing end of the NXT War Games match in December 2021. He left WWE shortly afterward as his contract expired. Candice LeRae also left the company in May 2022 when her contract expired. LeRae gave birth to the couple’s first child in February of the same year.
With the big changes that have taken place in WWE with Triple H taking control, many fans believe a return to wrestling for Gargano and LeRae could be closer than ever.
Speaking at an Asylum virtual signing, Johnny Gargano commented that he had noticed the likes of Karrion Kross and Dakota Kai returning to the company and urged fans to stay tuned:
“I’ve seen. I’ve noticed. It’s exciting times all around. You never know what could happen. Keep watching, we’re [Candice & I] going to show up at some point, wherever that may be.”
“You never know what could happen. We’re living in a crazy world where anything can go down. You never know what can happen on Mondays or Fridays anymore.”
Gargano then promised that both he and LeRae will be returning to wrestling, but did not say when:
“I promise. We will. We’ll be making some magic at some point in the future, I promise.”
The biggest indication that Gargano could be set for a return to WWE came on Raw when his former stablemate Dexter Lumis made a shock appearance at the end of the show.
