Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae have announced their birth of their son, Quill.

Former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano has announced that his wife Candice LeRae has given birth to a baby boy. The couple’s new arrival, their first child together, has been named Quill Lewis Gargano.

The name is a reference to Peter Quill, one of the central characters in the Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel comic and movie series.

Posting on social media, Gargano welcomed the Gargano Star-Lord to Earth with a number of Guardians of the Galaxy themed gifts, including a cassette tape with his name on, a comic and a cuddly toy of Rocket from the series.

Last seen on the December 7th episode of NXT 2.0, Johnny Gargano made a heart-warming goodbye speech to the NXT crowd before being attacked by Grayson Waller. During his speech, he said that he would be stepping away from wrestling to focus on becoming a father with his wife Candice LeRae.

Gargano made the decision to take time away from wresting well over a year ago before his wife was even pregnant, but commented that the timing couldn’t have been more perfect and recently posted a video of himself in July of 2021 saying that he was “99.99999% sure he wouldn’t re-sign” when his NXT contract was up.

Johnny Gargano’s future is still uncertain as the star hasn’t made any indication of where he’ll end up, despite recently teasing that he’s itching to get back into the ring.
