John Silver Says “The Dark Order Doesn’t Want Or Need Another Leader”

John Silver of All Elite Wrestling’s Dark Order says the group doesn’t want another leader after speculation mounted on social media about a released WWE star.

Six WWE Superstars were released from their contracts on the 2nd of June with names including Braun Strowman, Lana, and Buddy Murphy among those let go. Another surprising name was part of that group with the recently reintroduced Aleister Black having his contract ended by the company.

Many fans on social media salivating at the potential new matchups to come speculated that Black’s character might be a perfect fit for Dark Order. The Dark Order began as a villainous, cult-like group that recruited members and viciously attacked those who refused their advances. All in the name of ‘The Exalted One.’ That Exalted One was revealed in March 2020 to be none other than Brodie Lee.

Brodie Lee took the group by the scruff of the neck and dragged it to new heights as he decimated Cody Rhodes and became TNT Champion. Lee recruited Preston Vance as 10 alongside The Queen Slayer, Anna ’99’ Jay. The group then gained a following after their appearances on The Young Bucks YouTube show Being The Elite. A demented Brodie Lee would rage at his group and even throw papers when needed as Silver, Alex Reynolds and the rest got up to their antics. Silver in particular stood out for his comedy genius and has since become one of the most popular members of the AEW roster.

Sadly The Dark Order’s story does not have a happy ending as Brodie Lee tragically passed away in December 2020 at the age of 41. For John Silver, Brodie Lee is the only leader Dark Order ever needed as he took to social media to share his thoughts on the rumours.

Silver tweeted:

“The Dark Order doesn’t want or need another leader. We already had the best”

Silver, along with Reynolds, Alan Angels, Preston Vance, Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Colt Cabana, and Anna Jay continue to honour Lee’s legacy as they continue to urge everyone to join The Dark Order.
