John Silver has provided an update on his shoulder issue following his AEW Dynamite main event for the TNT Championship against Darby Allin.
Darby Allin previously vented his frustration at his lack of TNT Title defences given his issues with Team Taz. Paying tribute to who he called the “greatest TNT Champion of all-time” the late Brodie, Allin issued an open challenge to any Dark Order member. Between the group, they nominated the energetic John Silver.
Following AEW Dynamite on the Post Show with Alex Abrahantes, Silver joined Abrahantes and Dark Order teammate Evil Uno. Silver appeared with ice strapped to his shoulder in a brief appearance. Silver then told Uno that he was going to rest the shoulder.
Silver’s Dark Order partner Evil Uno added a prediction for Silver for the coming year:
“I believe a championship title will be around [Silver’s] waist by the end of the year.”
Since then Silver has taken to social media to provide an update on his status:
“Bad news: I’ll be out about 4-6 weeks”
“Good news: I don’t need surgery and there is no major damage”

This is good news for Silver as surgery could have meant a lot longer on the sidelines. It remains to be seen if Silver will remain on AEW television while he recuperates. Fellow Dark Order member Anna Jay was not so lucky. Recently Jay suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery, reports suggest ‘The Queenslayer’ could be out of action for 6-12 months.
Silver has become a fan favourite with his comedic appearances on The Young Buck’s YouTube show Being The Elite.
