John Cena is on the hunt for his 17th World Championship.
After Roman Reigns pinned Solo Sikoa to crown himself the new Tribal Chief, the promotion followed it up with John Cena’s retirement tour announcement segment. With his final time now, Cena began his promo by acknowledging Netflix’s international reach and later soaked in the crowd’s chants.
Following it up by name-dropping several stars such as Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Gunther, Logan Paul, and more as his final opponents, Cena also touched on the topic of his 17th World title victory. However, the 16th-time world champion’s confidence broke when he cast doubt over his 2000+ days of losing streak.
Believing only a miracle could get him a title match, Cena pondered over the idea of entering the 2025 Royal Rumble. Realizing he could win the Rumble and earn a title shot, The Leader of Cenation, confirmed his participation in the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble while declaring his intention to win the match.
So far, only John Cena has been announced for the 2025 Royal Rumble.
Dominik Mysterio Not Fond Of The Rock And John Cena’s WWE Return
During the 6th January episode of Raw, fans witnessed both The Rock and Cena return. However, former NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio recently revealed his dislike for such moments.
Speaking on the Busted Open Radio, ahead of Raw on Netflix premiere, Mysterio called them both “old heads” and stated,
“I don’t even like to talk about these old heads because I feel like, no offense, but you got guys like [The] Rock and [John] Cena coming in, and it’s like, I don’t know, they saw something cool and they’re like, ‘Oh, let me jump on the train.”
